This is genuine decommissioned fire-department equipment acquired through a fire service trade.

Snap-tite piston intake valve (PIV) #99-20103, a fire apparatus appliance designed for pumper intake control. It connects a 5" Storz large-diameter supply line to the suction intake of a fire pump, with an integrated elbow body, a top-mounted hand-wheel piston control, and a built-in field-adjustable pressure relief valve to protect the pump from excess intake pressure.
