Protech Tactical IMPAC-HT Handgun Threat Armor Plate, Police Trade

The Protech Tactical IMPAC-HT is a lightweight 5" x 7" special-threat armor plate designed to add protection against specific high-velocity handgun threats while keeping bulk and weight low.

Unlike a conventional soft-armor panel, the IMPAC-HT is a semi-rigid insert intended to concentrate additional protection over a limited area. Its compact 5" x 7" size makes it suited for compatible armor carriers where a smaller special-threat plate can be positioned over a critical area without the weight of a full-size rifle plate.

The manufacturer identifies the IMPAC-HT for threats including .357 SIG, .44 Magnum, 9mm +P+, 7.62x25 Tokarev, and select 5.7x28mm loads. It is a special-threat plate, not a plate carrying a conventional NIJ Level IIIA designation.
